A few changes from my last version. The majority of difference is the colors… I’ve changed them to be more realistic, and yet more stylized at the same time (a feat I’m quite proud of). I went for a sort of 300ish feel, but darker, and more mysterious and eerie. I’ve also changed the focus of the piece to be on the large nearly central twister and the building wreckage that accompanies it. I’ve done away with the helicopter (because it looked cheesy), and I changed the sunset to a realistic one (using stock imagery), rather than using a lens flare for a sun. All stock from sxc.hu

Looking back at my old Fringe Wallpapers, I decided that a new, updated version should be created... so I made one. It is not the exact same one as the old one, so it really shouldn't replace it or anything, but it takes a slightly similar approach, while adding some 3D Fringe Like text.

The only difference between this version, and my last, is that I took the advice of a critic, and darkened, desaturated, and tinted the color the water to give it more of a stormy feel as well as to make it seem much larger in scale. Let me know if you think this makes it better. This is the other version: http://aevion.net/artworks/2012-imitation-flood/.
