This is a remastered version of my twisters effect. I’ve added the following to it:

  • Sun
  • Appropriate Lighting to Accomodate for the Sun
  • Another Twister
  • Extended City (Which was hard, because of perspective and seamlessness)
  • Helicopter

About David Cox

I started Aevion in the summer of 2009 to display my artworks and get feedback from the graphic design community. Because of this exposure, I have begun earning money for doing what I love... by creating art, and writing photoshop tutorials after (the money part). I hope that Aevion will continue to grow in the years to come.

Thank you. I have made a watered down tut for this effect. You can see it here: http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/photo-manipulation/twister-in-the-city.html

I would love to make a detailed tut for this effect, but I don't think I could. It would be more like a book, and I honestly don't have the patients to work on something that long and complex. Still, you should check out the above link, because I do explain some things that I did in that image.

Nice, just one thing though. The sun appears to be in the wrong place. You can see on the whiteish building on the far right of the work has its darker side facing the sun. It should be this side that’s darker. The illumination of the photo is coming from a point over the viewers right shoulder and it doesn’t really match where the ‘fake’ sun is. Overall though its really good

I know... I didn't really go along with the existing lighting, but that is because I wanted to show the sun, with a nice yellow/orangey light to contrast with the dark blue.
